My productivity has gone to crap this month. Creativity, too. At first, I couldn’t figure out why.

First, I blamed it on life events (jury duty, annoying health-related news, general frustrations that take up more brain power than they should…). Then I blamed it on pollen, the Georgia weather that can’t make up its mind, and hormones.

What Really Destroyed My Productivity

It wasn’t until this morning on the treadmill (I’m scheduling this while I have time since I have jury duty this week), almost two weeks into April, that it hit me.

I was reading Getting Things Done: The Art of Stress-Free Productivity by David Allen while I walked, and I came across the part in chapter one where he talks about “open loops.”
